FOCUS AREAS

Cultivating creativity, connection, and community through the arts.

Arts for Santa Clarita is committed to creating a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving arts community that reflects the dynamic spirit of our city. By addressing critical needs, fostering engagement, and advocating for the arts, we aim to ensure the creative heart of Santa Clarita flourishes for generations to come.

ADVOCACY FOR ARTS FACILITIES AND SPACE

We support the creation of dedicated artistic spaces in Santa Clarita. By advocating for community arts and cultural centers and endorsing proposals such as converting the former SCV Senior Center into an arts facility, we work to address the need for accessible, creative spaces for artists and the community.

 COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND EVENTS

Through signature events like Artquinoxen, we bring people together to celebrate the arts and foster meaningful connections. These events are designed to spark creativity, raise arts awareness, and inspire active participation in the cultural life of Santa Clarita.

EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN THE ARTS

Arts for Santa Clarita has adopted a Cultural Equity and Inclusion Statement, committing to policies and practices that empower a just and inclusive society. We strive to represent and support the diverse voices of our community through equitable arts programming, leadership, and advocacy.

FUNDING AND POLICY SUPPORT

We advocate for increased public arts funding and progressive policies that enhance the arts sector. This includes supporting initiatives such as ordinances to allocate construction fees toward arts projects, ensuring sustained growth and innovation in Santa Clarita’s cultural landscape.
